Every JJ piece is built to last, and we stand behind it. From a complimentary warranty on the first 120 days to professional resizing and full restoration, our Miami workshop handles every JJ piece with the same care it was made with.

JJ Warranty

Every piece purchased on jjjewelryshop.com is covered by our complimentary repair warranty for the first 120 days after delivery. Within that window, we handle any structural issue at no cost to you.

  • Covered: loose stones, bent prongs, broken clasps, damaged links, manufacturing defects.
  • Not covered: damage from misuse, work performed by another jeweler, lost pieces.
  • Shipping: we provide a pre-paid insured FedEx label for U.S. clients during the warranty period.
  • Turnaround: typically 7 to 14 business days from when we receive the piece.

After the 120-day window, repairs and shipping are billed to the client. Your client advisor will review the piece and provide a quote before any work begins.

Emerald protection

Emeralds are softer and more porous than diamonds, and they're almost always treated to fill natural inclusions. Because of this, every JJ emerald piece comes with extended warranty coverage.

  • 180-day complimentary repair for any damage to the emerald stone.
  • Includes one re-oiling treatment if the inclusions show through over time.
  • Covered regardless of the cause, as long as the piece was not worked on by another jeweler.
  • For pieces purchased over 180 days ago, our workshop still offers emerald restoration with a quote.

Ring resizing

Most JJ rings can be resized up or down within a reasonable range. Our workshop handles each resize by hand to preserve the original design and stone settings.

  • What we can resize: standard bands, solitaires, half-eternity rings, most cocktail rings.
  • What we cannot resize: full eternity bands (stones go all the way around), some flexible or articulated designs, certain treated stones.
  • Sizing range: typically up to two sizes up or down. Larger changes may require remaking the piece.
  • Turnaround: 2 to 3 weeks from when we receive the ring at our workshop.
  • Fees: resizing fees vary by piece and complexity. After we review your ring, we quote the work before starting.

General repairs

Outside the warranty period, our workshop continues to support every JJ piece. Common repair work includes:

  • Re-tipping bent or worn prongs.
  • Re-setting loose or missing stones.
  • Replacing broken or worn clasps.
  • Soldering or repairing broken chain links.
  • Re-plating white gold pieces to restore the cool tone.
  • Hand-polishing to remove surface scratches.
  • Re-oiling treated emerald stones.

Every piece is reviewed by our in-house gemologist before any work begins. You receive an itemized quote, and nothing moves forward without your approval.

How to send a piece for repair

Reach out. Email shop@jjjewelryshop.com or message your client advisor with photos and a brief description of the issue.

Receive your label. If you're within the 120-day warranty, we send a pre-paid insured FedEx return label. Outside the warranty, we share shipping instructions.

Pack safely. Use the original JJ packaging in a rigid shipping box. Insure the package for its full value.

Gemologist review. Once received, our gemologist reviews the piece and contacts you with a diagnosis and quote (if applicable).

Approval and work. Once you approve, our workshop completes the repair and ships the piece back via insured FedEx.

International repairs

  • International clients are responsible for two-way shipping (to and from our Miami workshop), including any insurance and customs fees.
  • We provide detailed shipping instructions and customs documentation guidance.
  • Lead times are extended by 5 to 10 business days each way due to customs processing.
  • Email shop@jjjewelryshop.com with your country and the piece details to start.

What voids the warranty

We can only stand behind our work if no one else has worked on the piece. The JJ warranty is void if:

  • The piece was repaired, resized, or modified by another jeweler.
  • The piece shows damage from misuse (impact, chemical exposure, swimming, etc).
  • The piece was altered from its original design.
